David Arnold, CFP®, ChFC®, AIF® is the owner of Arnold Financial Services. He started in the financial services industry in 2006 with Nationwide Insurance as part of the Nationwide Financial Network. In 2008 he founded Arnold Financial Services, and moved the company to United Planners in 2019. David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Financial Consultant™, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ as well as holding the FINRA licenses series, 6, 63, 65, 7 and 26, and is MD Insurance licensed in Life, Health, and Variable Annuities. He graduated from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business in 2003 with a degree in finance.
David currently volunteers as a member of the Bender JCC of Greater Washington Investment committee, helping this non-profit community center with investment decisions. He previously served as a board member and treasurer for The Dwelling Place (https://tdp-inc.org/) which helps homeless families find stable housing and as an advisor to Brandeis AZA, a local teen-led youth group.
David lives in Potomac, MD with his wife Lauren, two daughters Samantha and Madison, and two rescue cats, Howie and Fred.
